TGS was involved on the New American Embassy Complex constructed at Ta Qali Malta since the early days of its construction 2008. The whole compound is spread over 40,000 square metres .
We were labour subcontractor for the civil works contractor from the period August 2008 till September 2009 with over 30 personnel seconded, and labour subcontractor to the main electrical & mechanical contractor from November 2009 till May 2010 with over 15 personnel sub-contracted.
In April 2010 , the company signed a contact with AICI – SP the company that was awarded the contract by US Government. AICI-SP was established in November 2005 by its parent company, American International Contractors, Inc. (AICI) for the express purpose of pursuing, competing for, and executing classified Overseas Building Operations (OBO) construction projects.
Our crew was responsible to clear and finalize all snags, finish works that AICI did not sub-contract to other sub-contractors, and to help out in final testing and commissioning before official take over by the Embassy. All staff had to pass through stringent security clearance before being allowed to enter the site. The staff seconded to AICI –SP numbered 19. The compound was inaugurated in July 2011
Please refer to the letter of recommendation issued by AICI-SP in our reference list.
